Star Symbols for Ratings and Bios
The two most-used star characters are ★ (Black Star, U+2605) and ☆ (White Star, U+2606). Together they make a clean text rating that works anywhere — ★★★★☆ reads as four out of five stars in a review, a spreadsheet or a product listing without any images. For profiles and captions, smaller shapes like ⋆, ✦ and ✧ give a softer, sparkly look that pairs well with aesthetic fonts.
Stars, Sparkles and Asterisks
Multi-point stars such as ✶, ✷ and ✸ add more rays, while ❇, ❈ and ❊ are decorative sparkles from the Dingbats block. Asterisk variants like ✱, ⁎ and ⁑ are handy for footnotes or as subtle dividers between sections of a bio. If you want color, the star emoji ⭐, 🌟, 💫 and ✨ are drawn by your device’s emoji font. In HTML you can write ★ for ★ and ☆ for ☆.
