Music Notes for Bios, Captions and Lyrics
Simple notes like ♪ and ♫ are the go-to music symbols for social media: add one before a lyric in an Instagram caption, after a song title in a TikTok bio, or in a Discord status to show what you’re listening to. The “now playing” combos in this set — like ⇆ ㅤ◁ㅤ ❚❚ ㅤ▷ㅤ ↻ — imitate a music player and are a popular aesthetic profile decoration.

Sharps, Flats and Musical Notation
♯ (sharp), ♭ (flat) and ♮ (natural) are useful for writing chord names and keys in plain text, like F♯ minor or B♭ major — a real ♯ is a different character from the number sign #. Unicode also includes a Musical Symbols block with clefs (𝄞 𝄢 𝄡), note values, rests and repeat signs. Those need a font that supports them, so they may not display on every device. In HTML, ♪ gives ♪, and ♯, ♭ and ♮ give ♯, ♭ and ♮.
